How does AiPrise mitigate impersonation risk?
Last updated: September 20, 2024
AiPrise offers several advanced features to help mitigate impersonation risk during user onboarding. These features go beyond standard ID verification methods and provide robust protection against fraud attempts.
Key Anti-Impersonation Features
Deepfake Detection: AiPrise can detect if a selfie image was auto-generated using an AI model, protecting against sophisticated AI-enabled fraud attempts.
1:N Face Matching: Each incoming selfie or face on an ID card is compared against ALL previously onboarded users. This helps flag cases where the same person attempts to onboard multiple times with different ID cards.
Browser Fingerprinting & IP Check: When using the AiPrise onboarding SDK, the system flags instances where the same IP address or browser has attempted to onboard before.
Government Database Cross-Reference: In supported countries, AiPrise cross-references the data on the ID card with official government databases. This ensures with 100% confidence that the ID data has not been tampered with.
Additional Verification Methods
These advanced features complement AiPrise's standard verification processes, which include:
ID card tampering checks
MRZ (Machine Readable Zone) barcode checks
Face matching
Face liveness detection
Country-Specific Features
For information on country-specific support for government cross-checks, please refer to our Supported Documents page. Look for countries marked with a ✅ in the "Government Cross Check" column.
Additional ID number-based lookups are available for certain countries. For more details, see our Government Checks documentation.
By combining these advanced features with standard verification methods, AiPrise provides a comprehensive solution to mitigate impersonation risk and protect against various fraud attempts during the user onboarding process.
