How to Set Up Custom Rules for Requesting Business Documents on AiPrise
Last updated: October 14, 2025
The Rule group on the Business Documents module allows you to collect documents only when certain conditions are met. This helps streamline verification by ensuring the right documents are collected based on country, business type, or other predefined attributes.
Step 1: Scroll over to the Business document module
Locate the document for which you’d like to set up conditional rules and click on it to open additional configurations.
Step 2: Add a Rule Group
Click Add Rule Group to create a new conditional logic set.
You’ll see a list of available rules - these can include:
Questions from previous modules
Attributes, such as country or business type
This lets you control when a particular document is requested based on these conditions.
Step 3: Define the Rule Condition
Choose the condition you’d like to apply.
For example:
Request this document if the country of incorporation is Russia.
To do this:
Select Country of Incorporation as your rule.
Choose the operator (e.g., is equal to).
Enter the value in alpha-2 format — for example:
RUfor RussiaUSfor the United StatesINfor India
You can add multiple country codes, separated by commas, if you want the rule to apply to several countries.
Step 4: Add Multiple Rules (Optional)
You can combine multiple rules within a group to make your logic more specific.
For instance, you can require a document if:
The country of incorporation is India and
The business type is Private Limited
When all selected rules evaluate as true, AiPrise will automatically request the corresponding document.
Step 5: Save the Rule Setup
Once your conditions are configured, click Save.
Your custom rules are now active — AiPrise will automatically request the selected document whenever the defined conditions are met.
