Session Expiry - FAQs
Last updated: December 22, 2025
1. Can I send reminders to my customers to complete the session?
Yes. You can enable automated reminder emails from the dashboard for any verification template. Each session has an expiry date, and if a client hasn’t completed their session before it expires, AiPrise can automatically email them their session link so they can come back and finish their application. You control how long sessions are valid and whether reminders are sent for that template.
This is especially helpful for longer KYB flows, where clients may not finish in one sitting and compliance teams are waiting on missing information. Reminders help reduce drop-offs and cut down manual follow-ups for your ops and support teams. Please ensure you have set up custom domain to send emails for enabling this feature.
3. When are reminder emails sent?
You decide the schedule on each verification template in the AiPrise dashboard:
You can set up to 3 reminders
Each reminder is sent some number of days before the session expires (e.g. 3 days, 2 days, 1 day before)
We send a maximum of 10 emails per email ID per day, so if there are multiple sessions which have reminder emails scheduled, we will send the latest session reminders in order to not spam the customers
If you want to stop any automated reminders going to a customer, you can either manually expire the session or click cancel on the schedule on the “Not Started” pages
Note - Reminders are only sent for new sessions created after you enable them. We stop sending reminders as soon as the session is submitted, the session expires or if the status of the session changes.
4. Who receives the reminder?
The reminder goes to the email address attached to that verification session
(e.g. the business contact or UBO email you already pass to AiPrise).
If there’s no email on the session, no reminder is sent. Please ensure that there is an associated email with each session to send email reminders to your customer.
5. What do the reminder emails look like? Can I customize them?
Yes. For each verification template, you can:
Set your own email subject
Write your own email body
Add variables like number of days for session expiry and a verification link with be automatically added
8. How do I turn this on?
In the AiPrise dashboard:
Go to the Template you want to configure
Find the “Session expiry reminders” section
Turn on “Enable email reminders before session expiry”
Ensure you have a custom domain already before using this feature, select the sender and domain
Set the schedule (days before expiry) and email content
Save your changes
That’s it - new sessions on that template will start getting reminders automatically.
