Understanding your template's Basic Configurations

Last updated: April 29, 2025

The Basic Configuration tab helps you control key settings like session expiry, callback URLs, fraud detection, and warning code behaviour.

This guide walks you through the configuration options available:

Template Basics

Template Name & Description

You can:

  • Update the template name to reflect its specific use (e.g., “KYC – India”, “AML + Address Check”).

  • Add a description for internal clarity, so your team understands what the template does.

Callback URLs

1. Callback URL

  • This is triggered when a user completes a verification session.

  • You’ll receive the session result via a POST request to this URL.

2. Events Callback URL

  • Triggered on intermediate events during a user’s session (e.g., ID uploaded, selfie submitted).

  • Helpful if you need to react to real-time events during onboarding.

Session Expiry Settings

  • The default session expiry is 7 days.

  • You can extend it up to a maximum of 30 days, depending on your business need.

  • After expiry, users can no longer complete the session using the link.

After editing these settings, click Update Template Settings to apply changes.

Fraud Check

  • Enabling the fraud check toggle collects additional metadata about users:

    • IP address

    • Device and browser info

    • VPN usage

    • Geolocation insights

  • This helps identify potential suspicious behaviour or fraud attempts during onboarding.

Warning Codes

Warning Codes are automated alerts triggered during verification when we detect inconsistencies or risk indicators.

Examples include:

  • ID Quality Issue

  • Face Mismatch

  • Invalid Document Format

For each warning, you can configure:

  • Approve – Let the case auto-approve even if the warning is triggered.

  • Review – Move the case to manual review.

  • Decline – Auto-decline the session when this warning is returned.

  • Not Applicable - The system ignores the warning code.

We provide default settings based on industry best practices, but you're free to customise them based on your own compliance policies.

After making changes, be sure to click Update Warning Codes.
